Bloomberg Terminal

Spokane is unique and so is our public library system.  Only two of the nation’s 16,685 public libraries offer free public access to a Bloomberg Terminal: the New York Public Library and Spokane Public Library, that is unique.
With the Spokane Public Library anticipating significant COVID-19 related budget cuts from the City of Spokane in the coming months, we need your help to keep Spokane’s access to the Bloomberg Terminal and business resources intact.  Along with all the tools found within the www.spokanebusiness.org toolbox, the Bloomberg Terminal is a powerful resource that gives the entire Spokane business community an advantage that we would not otherwise have.  The Bloomberg terminal is the most powerful, flexible platform for professionals who need real-time data, news, and analytics.  At a subscription cost of $25,000 per year the Spokane Public Library offers this resource to all its patrons.
Please give generously to support Spokane’s continued access to the Bloomberg Terminal. With your help, our community will be well-positioned to emerge from this time of crisis even stronger. And even more unique.

Business Services

Spokane Public Library is the only public library in the nation to provide public access to PitchBook. We are one of two public libraries in the nation to provide public access to a Bloomberg Terminal. We are one of a handful of public libraries to offer a dedicated co-working space. The collection of business resources found at www.spokanebusiness.org is unmatched in the public library world.
How did this happen? To be sure, a good chunk of this is the result of some hard work on the part of library staff but it is also a function of Spokane just being Spokane. Our community works together and we routinely pull off amazing stunts that no other community our size can match. Hoopfest, Bloomsday, two full-blown medical schools, the list goes on and on but the same holds true with our business research capabilities. The Spokane Public Library works with everyone from startups with no cash on hand to multi-billion dollar companies and everyone in between. Now, of all possible times, is the time for our community to come together in support of our business community.
Please give generously to support the Spokane Public Library’s business services. With your help, Spokane will be well-positioned to emerge from this time of crisis even stronger and – to coin a term here – even more Spokan-ier. We can do this.
